HISTORY
Greek mythology is a vast and fascinating collection of stories that recount the adventures and misadventures of the gods and heroes of ancient Greece. These tales have profoundly influenced Western culture, providing inspiration for countless works of art, literature, and philosophy.
In the Greek pantheon, the gods and goddesses resided on Mount Olympus, under the rule of Zeus, the king of the gods and god of the sky and thunder. Alongside him were Hera, his wife and the goddess of marriage; Poseidon, the god of the sea; Hades, the god of the underworld; and many others, each with their own personality and domain.
Zeus, known for his strength and his ability to hurl thunderbolts, was also famous for his numerous romantic escapades, which often caused conflicts among the gods and mortals. Hera, on the other hand, was known for her jealous and vengeful nature towards Zeus's lovers and their offspring.

The influence of Greek mythology extends far beyond ancient Greece itself, permeating Western literature, art, and culture to this day. Many iconic works of literature, such as Homer's "Iliad" and "Odyssey," draw heavily from Greek mythology, as do countless modern films, television shows, and other forms of media. This enduring fascination with Greek mythology underscores its profound impact on human imagination and storytelling throughout history.
